Darren Bailey returns to the brewery tasting room.
Darren Bailey was once told he was born in the wrong era. His authentic renditions of rockabilly and outlaw country singers such as Cash, Waylon, Willie, Merle, George, Elvis and his contemporary working class heroes such as Springsteen, Mellencamp, and Steve Earle will make you feel you are sitting in Sun Studios or an intimate unplugged concert by these legends. Add in a good taste of Canadian favorites such as Stompin Tom Connors, The Tragically Hip, Blue Rodeo, the Band and a wide range of other artists and you will be entertained with energy, humour and stories that will harken you back to your own favorite musical memories. While recently making the transition to solo artist, this musician has a resume spanning over 25 years in bands as a drummer, percussionist, vocalist and guitarist that has shared performances with George Canyon, Terri Clark, Corb Lund Band and Tommy Cash (brother of the legendary Johnny Cash)
Born in Harrow, Ontario, Derek Harrison writes contemporary folk songs that pull from many traditions but retain a distinctly Canadian outlook. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, his solo material showcases his lyrical songwriting and fingerstyle acoustic guitar
LINDSEY WALKER has toured extensively as a solo artist in Canada with half her heart in Alberta, and the other in her hometown of Winnipeg. In 2013, Lindsey was nominated as an "Artist to Watch" at the Edmonton music awards, which heralded her debut album Our Glory with a sold-out crowd. Fans began to respond to the raw honesty and soaring vocal power of her music. Media followed, and IndieGogo featured her as a success story for her innovative engagement strategies. Our Glory found a national audience receiving airplay on CBC, and college and community stations from Vancouver to Halifax. Since 2013, Lindsey has been hard at work on her craft, bringing forward a darker, moodier sound. Along with touring regularly, Lindsey continues to teach free music classes to children at the Bissell Centre in Edmonton as a way to share the joys of music with young people who may not have the luxury of taking formal music lessons. Recently voted “Best Solo Artist” (Vue Weekly, 2017), her eagerly anticipated new record 'this desolate bliss.' marks a bold new direction as Lindsey pursues a haunted shimmering evolution.
Tay Sera is an acoustic folk-pop duo from Oshawa, ON. Their style is both whimsical and contemplative, with a contagious energy to make you think and feel during every song.
The Paper Shakers make their Manantler debut!
Forming in 2017, the duo with their backing band deliver dynamic performances, full of energetic-indie-rock anthems that sear with a heart thumping beat. Together they write songs about anger, grief and happiness with grace. Where many struggle to succeed, the two achieve balance between the release of frustration with the world around them and smooth, powerful vocals.
