Bloody Diamonds @ Manantler

Dirty riffs, powerhouse vocals and devilish distortion. Toronto's bluesy-rock band Bloody Diamonds are a rock n' roll monster.

With a soulful, haunting voice and unhinged stage presence, vocalist Sara Elizabeth has been compared to singers such as Janis Joplin, Patti Smith and Alison Mosshart. One minute she is soft and sweet – the next she’s foaming at the mouth, unleashing a menacing, gritty howl. Delivering a hard-hitting rock show with the gloom of Black Sabbath and the heart-thumping feel of The White Stripes, Bloody Diamonds are a bewitching act to behold.

The dark rock four-piece consists of guitarist Jake Seaward, drummer Kenny Myers, and bassist Oscar Anesetti. Since 2011 the band has been relentlessly touring North America, from New York City to Vancouver Bloody Diamonds have left a whirlwind of loud and dirty rock n' roll on every stage they've played. Originally from Halifax, the band has earned placement in television and showcases at North by Northeast, Halifax Pop Explosion and Canadian Music Week. Bloody Diamonds are set to release their brand new record Sugar and Spice this summer.
